To keep you informed about the redevelopment of Farringdon station and how this could affect you, we are writing to provide you with information about the work that will be happening over the next two months. The station is being transformed as part of the Thameslink and Crossrail programmes, which will make the station one of the best connected in London.

Detailed information is included on the second page of this letter, setting out the effect of work on the main areas surrounding the station.

Sections of a number of roads around the station will be closed to traffic over some weekends in September and October, including parts of Turnmill Street, Cowcross Street and lane closures of Farringdon Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

With work beginning on the foundations of the new ticket hall and to rebuild the bridge over the railway on Cowcross Street, the next few months will be particularly busy. Because more of our work at the moment needs to be undertaken when train services are not running, we need to carry out more work outside of our normal working hours and make extra arrangements such as deliveries in the evening. Unfortunately, some of our work will be noticeably noisy, during both the day and night, although we will do everything practical to minimise this disturbance.

We are sorry for any disruption or inconvenience our work causes. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Either via our national helpline on 08457 11 41 41 or via email: thameslink@networkrail.co.uk . More details about the Thameslink and Crossrail programmes can be found on the websites: www.networkrail.co.uk/farringdon and www.crossrail.co.uk
